Fining Wine
Would you like some fish bladders with your wine?
Gelatine, egg white, fish bladders and seaweed are used as fining agents to adjust colour, flavour and stability of wine.
This process also removes tiny particles that could make the wine cloudy in the bottle.
Simple scientific processes help to ensure that the wine you buy from the shelf is still in the same perfect condition as it was when leaving the vineyard
